Good-bye Glen

I found out from my friend Jean that my co-worker Glen from the photo lab I used to work at passed away yesterday morning. I knew he was terminally ill but I can't believe it happened so fast. I only found out that he wasn't well when I was home at Christmas. From what I was told then he had only found out recently too.

It is so wrong. He has two kids that still need their father. I feel so bad for them. He loved them both so much. He used to talk about them all the time at work. He was so proud of them both.

Glen was a wonderful person to work with. He was someone who actually gave me work to do at the store. Work that I enjoyed and that helped him with his job. He made me feel useful which is something that I didn't often feel when I worked there. He had a great sense of humour and was a fantastic salesman.

I wish I had gone in there when I was home in November and seen them. It was always nice to see Dawn and him again. I'll have to send Dawn an email. She must be devestated her and Glen were good friends and had worked there for years together.

I'm not sure how to feel right now. My thoughts are with his family.
